Mini Biography
Ryan, a consummate performer since birth, knew he would have a successful career ahead of him. What he did not know when he accompanied a former girlfriend to a model search was that he himself would be "discovered".
It all began for him in the mid '90s when they drove out of town to a talent/model search. The scouts took one look at her and said they weren't interested. In classic Ryan Locke fashion in an attempt to make her feel better he stormed out of the room with her in tow yelling "Screw them, we're outta here". One of the scouts flew to the doorway blocking their exit and asked him if he were interested in modeling. At first he laughed but he then considered the possiblities of leaving his small town of Fremont, California to travel the world and get paid for it. Before anyone could blink, Ryan became one of the most successful male models of all time.
Having conquered the modeling world was still not enough to appease his appetite to do more, be more. Ryan took up studying with acting coach Susan Batson in New York and in 2000 won the coveted role in his feature film debut as the "Young Martin" in what would be the great James Coburn's final film, the critically acclaimed, American Gun (2002). His character is the younger version of Coburn's and Ryan made such a splash he received a "Rising Star Award" at the 2002 Hampton's Film Festival and was honored by re-enacting several of James Coburn's greatest scenes from the screen legends films at his memorial Paramount Studios held for Coburn in 2003.
